General Rescue Fund

Purpose

Some rescues fail for want of a deposit due in days, not months. The fund exists to bridge that gap for campaigns that have already passed verification, and to cover verified rescue costs that no single campaign can absorb.

Eligibility

• Campaign is public (verified and approved for publication).
• Status is funding threshold reached, acquisition pending, acquired, restoring or reopened.
• The organization has a signed agreement or invoice for the cost.
• No unresolved conflict-of-interest flag on the campaign.

Allocation and approval

A finance admin proposes an allocation with its purpose and amount. A different finance admin approves; the database rejects self-approval. Money is then marked sent and, on evidence, confirmed. Each step is recorded in the audit log and appears in the list on this page.

Administrative costs

Administrative percentage retained from the fund: 0%. Platform fee on gifts: 0%. Card processing fees are charged by Stripe at its published rates and are shown in the ledger as fees when payments go live.
