Why this matters
We are unapologetically Christian in our mission and respectful toward everyone else. This movement is about the churches we can help keep open — never about opposing another faith, community or lawful buyer.
A sanctuary built by generations of believers cannot simply be rebuilt when it is sold or demolished. Preserving these buildings for Christian worship keeps a spiritual home available to the people who need it now — and to those who come after.
Food pantries, recovery groups, youth ministry, funerals, weddings, shelter in a storm. When a church closes, the community loses far more than a building. A responsible rescue keeps that ministry alive.
Many at-risk churches carry architectural and historical significance. Careful restoration honours that heritage without turning it into a museum — the goal is a working church, not a monument.
Raising money is the easy part to measure. We hold campaigns to a harder standard: verified acquisition, restoration, reopening for ministry, and sustainability reviewed at 6, 12 and 24 months.

Trust is the whole product. Here is how we verify, steward and report — in plain language.
Visit the Transparency CenterFifteen mandatory checks — from applicant identity and property ownership to budget and sustainability — must be complete before a campaign goes live. Two independent reviewers approve publication; nobody can create, verify, approve and disburse alone.
Cash received, pledges, matching commitments and grants are always shown separately. Sources and uses are published for every campaign, and reaching a target never counts as a rescue.
Deeds, title reports, financials and identity documents are stored in private, access-logged storage. The public sees verification summaries — never the underlying files.
A donation does not confer property ownership, is not an investment, does not guarantee acquisition, and is subject to campaign terms. Tax-deductibility is stated only where legally approved. If an acquisition fails, our failed-campaign policy governs what happens next.
Impact
These totals are computed live from verified records. We would rather show a zero than an estimate — and we never count a church as rescued just because money was raised.
As of Aug 18, 2026. "Acquired" counts campaigns with verified closing evidence; "Reopened" requires legal use and active ministry.
Campaigns appear here only after every mandatory verification check is complete and two independent reviewers approve publication. Know a church at risk? Nominate it.
